Leora Klein works with students and young adults to support their academic needs based on the individual’s learning profile. She consults with the evaluating psychologist to formulate an effective learning plan for students and adults with learning disabilities, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and executive function challenges.
In addition to academic tutoring and college application support,  Leora works with adults in high profile job settings. She addresses their executive function needs as they meet the practical demands of their job.
The Uncommon Advantage provides academic support for students, starting in middle school through graduate school. In addition to working one on one with her clients, Leora has trained an excellent team of tutors to support students with their leaning needs.

Leora runs The Uncommon Advantage Tutoring. She oversaw the Senior Class College Application Essays at The Abraham Joshua Heschel School in Manhattan, where she taught English Language and Literature since 2004. Leora has been tutoring since 1997 and specializes in college application essays, writing fundamentals and effective student organization.  She has a BA in English Literature and Theater Arts from the University of Pennsylvania and a MA in English and Comparative Literature from Columbia University.

Leora is co-founder of 3GNY (Third Generation New York) and Director of 3GNY’s WEDU (We Educate). WEDU is an educational initiative that brings together grandchildren of Holocaust survivors and teaches them to learn and share their family histories in classrooms. Through Education, Action and Reflection, 3GNY’s WEDU enables the third generation to preserve and perpetuate the memory of the Holocaust.
